Our Story

The Cook Along Company was founded by MasterChef contestant Raheel Mirza. With his British Pakistani background, Raheel began sharing his recipes from the Indian subcontinent, to share the delicious foods from his upbringing. Raheel has over 20 years’ experience in learning, development, training, and coaching, ensuring he provides an educational, fun experience for everyone who joins in with a Cook Along.

The initial concept for the Cook Alongs came from the first coronavirus lockdown, when Raheel began hosting zoom sessions to help his daughter engage more with her friends and family, as well allowing him to share the recipes learnt growing up and during his time on MasterChef. What began as a small zoom call between a few friends and family quickly grew each week as more people became interested and wanted to join in.

The Cook Along Company was created to provide a way for people to connect through their love of food whilst providing life skills that people can learn and benefit from. Our cook alongs are completely inclusive, no matter your background, age, race, gender, you are sure to enjoy and benefit from joining in with a Cook Along.
